Quantifyr benchmarks your bid against awarded Australian contracts, and tells you what usually happens to contracts like it after they are signed.
The band
Where your number sits, against real awarded prices.
The model returns a full set of percentiles, not a single figure, and the intervals are calibrated against contracts it never saw in training. So when the band says it should contain the answer, it does. Put your own number in and you get your percentile, plus the closest comparable contracts that actually got awarded.
After you sign
The question everyone forgets to ask.
Contracts move. Scope creeps, someone finds rock, the client changes the kitchen. It is not random, it is patterned, so a second model predicts whether this job gets varied and how far the cost travels when it does. You get a risk level, a spread of likely outcomes, and a recommended allowance: a contingency figure with a reason behind it instead of the usual ten percent.
Scope
Houses are not tenders.
Government tender data describes government work. It does not describe a detached house in an outer suburb, and pretending otherwise is how benchmarks end up useless. Residential jobs run through a separate model built on building permit data instead.
Straight answers
The questions estimators actually ask.
- The prices will be wrong for my area.
- Your own rate wins if you have set one. After that it is the built-in Australian library, then a grounded market search, and every line tells you which of the three it used. The benchmark itself is state-aware, so a job in Darwin is not compared against a job in Sydney.
- It will take a weekend to set up.
- There is nothing to set up. You do not load a rate library or build templates before your first bid. Drop a pack in and you get a priced schedule back on the first attempt. Your rates get learned as you correct things, not entered up front.
- I am not a computer person.
- You upload a file, or you talk. That is the interface. If you can explain the job to your foreman you can use this, and the first bid takes minutes rather than a training course.
- What if the AI gets the quantities wrong and I wear the cost?
- Two answers. Every measurement traces back to the sheet and the spot on it, so you can check anything in seconds instead of trusting a total. And the quantities are computed by the engine, not written by the language model, which only classifies what it is looking at. Anything can be corrected before you send.
- Are my drawings used to train your AI?
- No. We trained our computer vision model on Australian house plans we sourced and annotated ourselves, in our own labelling software, not on customer work. Your documents are processed in ephemeral sessions and are not used to train third-party models either. If you ever want to contribute a set, that is something you opt into by asking us. - What happens once I win it? The estimate goes in a drawer.
- It does not. The estimate carries through: variations get priced against it, and progress claims are raised from it, so the number that won the job stays the number you are tracking against.
Who built it
Built by someone who lived the problem.
Quantifyr comes from an engineer with fifteen years across civil engineering and construction, on everything from local subdivisions to major infrastructure.
Then a stint at a construction-technology company building AI tools for the industry, where one thing became impossible to ignore: automated takeoff, risk modelling and market benchmarking existed, and were reserved almost entirely for Tier 1 contractors and government departments.
Everyone else was still pricing jobs the way they had for thirty years. Spreadsheets, gut feel, late nights, and numbers that were either too high to win or too low to survive.
